Here is the description:

 

Title: GIS Contractors

 

Location: Chicago, IL

 

Nature: 3 + Month Contract 

 

Must Have:

EDI 2 + yrs 

GIS 4.0 or higher (4.1 is preferred) 

Windows platform and UNIX experience

 

There are 2 positions available.  

 

1) GIS migration to UNIX. 

a. Configuring GIS in the new environment. 

b. Importing BP's from the Windows Environment. 

c. Review services from 3.0 that are running on 4.1 and replacing them with
new ones. 

d. Optimization of BP's for high performance. 

e. Mainframe experience is a major plus. 

f.   Gentran experience on the mainframe is a major plus.

 

2) GIS Implementations 

g. Create new BP's and maps in 4.1 for new customers. 

h. New BP's must be reusable for additional trading partners without
modification. 

i.   Integration testing with mainframe and distributed applications. 

j.   Mainframe experience is a major plus. 

k. Gentran experience on the mainframe is a major plus.

The client is migrating from a Windows platform on GIS 3.0 to UNIX on 4.1.
