Job Title: Sr. (EDI/Mercator) Computer Systems
Analyst/Programmer
Your primary responsibility is to do day-to-day operations and
maintenance of EDI interfaces. Perform system analysis, design,
coding, and unit testing of Service Requests for those systems, make
sure all the components are integrated together properly to deliver
the business capabilities. You will be involved in the entire product
development lifecycle. You will have opportunities to gain large
project experience with EDI/Mercator, Cobol, DB2, Oracle. This
position gives an opportunity to work on a system that deals with
billions of dollars of payments, lots of companies and users.
Job Requirements & Education:
5+ years in developing software systems
Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated
ability to analyze technical information and work with a team spirit.
Self-motivated with strong communication and written skills.
Willing to learn the new skills required by the assigned tasks.
Must have EDI, Mercator, Mainframe/Cobol programming experience
Drives architecture decisions in small to medium sized projects
Excellent problem identification, analysis and solving skills
Demonstrated ability to delivery software projects of high
complexity and risk.
Substantial experience and expertise in development systems with
DB2 and Oracle.
Experience in Transaction Sets such as 997, 810, 820, 824, 248 ,
867, 814 and other flat files.
Knowledge of communication protocols such as FTP, SCP and VPN
Knowledge of encryption/decryption of PGP.
Create design, architecture, High Level/Low level documents
Need to have the ability to multi-task, and to be an excellent team
member with strong inter-personal and communication skills.
Excellent Knowledge of applications/systems integration
Desired:
BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
Financial System or E-Commerce System development experience desired.
Experience in Mercator Versions 5.0\6.7, Mercator Design Studio,
Mercator Integration Broker, Mercator Commerce Broker, Mercator
Integration Flow Designer, Resource Registry, Adapters.
Experience with COBOL, DB2, Oracle, UNIX.
Start Date & Time Preferred: March 1st (early better)
Duration/End Date: Contract to hire
