Or SOTPI - Shipment, Order, Tare (pallet level), Pack, Item. We have a lot of SOTPI customers.
The Tare level is where a pallet ID or license plate would be reported. The 'ideal world' would be that the receiver at the DC would scan the license plate of the pallet which would immediately check in all the items placed on that pallet, per the ASN already received. The label has a space at the bottom where this number is printed (in a bar code).
