I know that the architecture required to integrate it was fairly
complicated, requiring multiple servers when I looked at it last year.
A company I worked for had a very difficult time getting it installed
and setup to work with the Websphere ESB.
To me, it seemed like the Partner Gateway and WTX were different
products from different vendors that IBM bought and put their name on..
and it wasn't really designed to work together as 1 EDI Gateway.
I left the contract after the company bought Partner Gateway, largely
because I didn't want to get waist-deep learning something I couldn't
respect. The mapping tool may be good but, there are lots of good
mapping tools. The 'gateway' part was where I had my biggest beef.
Best of luck.
