Can you take the Fastest & Most Comprehensive EDI Error Validation System and
make it FASTER?
1 EDI Source CAN...and DID!
1 EDI Sources Premier EDI Software Product, EDI Complete, has the most
comprehensive validation system on the market today with both inbound and
outbound EDI data validation.
EDI complete validates Inbound data just BEFORE it is mapped and validates
outbound data just AFTER it is mapped. This ensures that invalid inbound data
is not mapped into your backend system and invalid outbound data is not
mistakenly sent to your trading partner.
Having invalid EDI data can be a very costly mistake. If invalid data is
sent to your ERP system it could be extremely time consuming to clean out all
the bad transactions which could lead to many other data compromises. If
invalid data were to be sent to your trading partners, it could result in
charge-backs and/or delay payment. EDI Complete has a robust multi-layer
validation process to ensure your business doesnt suffer one of these costly
setbacks.
Below are just a few of the validation checks that EDI Complete defaults to
performing on each and every transaction set:
Data element types - ASC X12/EDIFACT standards defines each data element as a
type such as Numeric, Decimal, Date, etc. Compliance checking takes place by
comparing the element type in the EDI data to ASC X12/EDIFACT standards.
Data element min/max lengths - Every data element is assigned a min/max
length by ASC X12/EDIFACT standards.
Mandatory data elements - Certain data elements are designated as mandatory
by ASC X12/EDIFACT standards.
Segment sequence errors - ASC X12/EDIFACT standards assigns a sequence to the
segments.
Data element code lookups - EDI Complete will check the contents of elements
in the EDI that can only contain certain values.
Data elements conditional checking - Certain data elements must follow rules
whereby another element is mandatory if a different one exists, or other
similar rules.
Additionally, EDI Complete can be configured to validate user defined aspects
of your transactions. Inbound documents can validate pricing, terms and any
other detail of your transactions before they are loaded into your backend
system. User defined validation will also allow you to verify that your
outbound transactions meet all the requirements of your trading partners.
We have found that in other EDI software products validating EDI data has
just added processing time slowing down these very time sensitive
transactions. Users would even disable the validation option in order to by
pass error checking all together just to get the data there in timely fashion.
With EDI Complete, validation IS NOT a time consuming process. The error
checking process in EDI Complete has been optimized so that it happens
instantaneously
adding merely seconds to your transfer!
Because we understand that validation is one of the most important aspects of
our product we have spent a considerable amount of time to make sure it is the
easiest to understand. The validation errors that are generated in EDI
Complete are written using simple to understand terms. EDI Complete will
highlight any errors on screen and describe exactly what is wrong with the
transaction.
EDI Complete was designed from the ground up to have the fastest and most
powerful validation routines in the industry and realize that this is
imperative your businesses overall EDI data quality and profitability.

Interconnect?
When you configure an interconnect you are establishing a partnership between
your Value Added Network (VAN) and your Trading Partners VAN. Typically, when
you are not on the same VAN as your Trading Partner you will need to setup an
interconnect to ensure data is transmitted to the correct location.
When you establish an interconnect you will need to provide your VAN the
Trading Partners name, VAN, sender ID and qualifier. This is often an
overlooked step and often leads to the question, Where is the data our Trading
Partner told us they sent?
Call one of our EDI experts if you need help configuring a new Trading
Partner.

Test your AS2 Complete System
Did you ever want to make sure your AS2 system was up and running? Simply
copy your Public URL from the AS2 Complete Preferences window into your
favorite web browser. Your AS2 Complete system should respond with the
message, AS2 Complete Connection Test Successful.
This test will let you and your partner know the system is configured
properly and ready to receive data. We recommend you try this from a computer
not on your corporate network for the most reliable results.
