Ah the old Burroughs, then we went to the A series with Unisys (A17), I
thought the was
blazing fast. We were running a product called Gandalf for our modems and
I remember pulling out the
rs232 cables to reinitializing the 9600 baud modems....

1200 was blazing fast..... What about 300 baud.
I recall connecting an Apple II to a SUNY (Fredonia) Burroughs B4700 via a
300 baud modem. 2400 seemed like the pinnacle of computing and I thought
9600 would be the best we would ever get. Those were the days..... NOT!

I think each of us should start our own EDI community.
Then, we can log on to each one separately each evening to see if there is
anything we're interested in.
For those of us who are well "seasoned", it will serve as a reminder of the
direct-connect 1200 baud modem days of EDI...
Thanks,
Greg Knowles

So what's with the proliferation of new EDI groups? Is this one not useful?
