Unfortunately, here is what I know about AS/400s and iSeries drivers: .

But... I sent the links to my client, who knows AS/400 stuff but basically
knows about Mercator database interface what I know about AS/400-iSeries. He
took one look at those links and said, "oh, THAT, I see..." so I guess
maybe he and I are a good match for this project.
Application not working yet, but I think it will be soon. (Hell, it already
DOES work on one of the databases!)
