Reports to: IDEA President Responsibilities: .Provide primary staff support for IDEA Standards Committee and subcommittees including EDI, XML and Product Identification and Product Code, and Data Content. .Provide primary guidance and technical support to industry for e-commerce and standards related transactions, initiatives and best practices, etc. .Serve as principal industry interface with standards bodies such as GS1-US, ECCMA, DISA, EDIFECS and ANSI X-12 etc. .Manage and keep IDW2 Enriched Data schema current. .Manage the UNSPSC Product Code Revision process with UNSPSC. .Manage and oversee updates and revisions as well as new standards for industry EDIPro, XML and flat file formats used for the IDX2 network and the IDW data repository. .Support industry task forces and programs where standards play a functional role. .Assist IRD manager with implementing GS1 standards that affect IDEA customers .Help develop strategies to increase IDEA subscriber base and promote the use of the standards. .Assist IDW2 data manager with educating manufacturers on proper use of product and pricing data standards .Maintain the standards portion of the IDEA web site/poratl. .Serve as an industry spokesperson on electronic commerce standards matters. Requirements: .BA/BS in Business, E-commerce or Information Systems or Technology .Understanding of supply chain data synchronization, product data standards and processes. .Familiarity with EDI and specifically 832, 850, 810 documents. .Previous experience with an electrical or industrial manufacturer or distributor company .Strong written and verbal communication skills .Microsoft Office Suite Skills as well as CRM and ERP programs .Minimum Four Years experience in electronic commerce. .Technical familiarity with ASCII, EDI, XML, VMI and the Internet. .25% Travel required [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ...
