Maintain and develop EDI translation maps and SQL code for the firm's
payor community. Coordinate testing with new trading partners.
Establish and maintain agreements with trading partners for electronic
transactions or alternative partner gateways. Monitor
partner/customer/supplier issues and trends in the Health Care payer
community. Document and maintain control of trading partner profiles
and business processing rules. Develop ad hoc production reports
requested by Sr. Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and develop EDI translation maps as necessary. Develop
corresponding SQL 2005 code. Develop production related EDI reports
Serve as the authoritative source for the payors' file
specifications, for resolving differences between the published guides
and Trading Partner requirements. Research Trading Partner and Payer
requirement changes and modifications; assist in prioritizing and
scheduling. Coordinate testing and implementation of EDI
transactions with new and existing trading partners. Monitor and
perform daily EDI activities as needed Interface with senior/middle
management and internal business units to ensure that the EDI program
achieves the organization's strategic goals and business needs
Provide guidance to the department's EDI personnel Define and
implement new or improved work processes to increase quality and
efficiency Provide timely reporting to management regarding
production issues and trends Interface with Operations and database
staff regarding EDI support-related issues Resolve non-standard
issues that cannot be resolved by EDI team
Experience and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is desired
4+ years EDI experience in a production environment 2+ years
Microsoft SQL server development experience to include maintenance of
stored procedures, triggers, and views Working knowledge of
Microsoft Windows 2000 and/or Windows 2003 2+ years experience
developing Healthcare EDI translation maps Knowledge of federal and
state DME regulations and familiarity with commercial payer rules and
regulations Ability to work in dynamic environment and oversee
multiple initiatives Self-starter and ability to self-learn
Superior communication and teamwork skills 2+ years using Sybase
ECMap and EC Gateway tools highly desirable.
