Yes, I remember (not fondly) the Production System Down emails. Heinous. Despicable. Shall I go on?

Please Stay out of my InBox! Brian... I am getting it directly. I posted here to help those wondering why they're getting it as they've never dealt with them, to let them know it was due to the harvesting of this list. As for asking to be unsubscribed... Been there. Done that. I was removed and it was confirmed that I wasn't receiving their emails. As have a lot of other people on the list who are now sending me emails, directly, saying they are having similar problems. Such as SPAMming their email address that is supposed to be for partner interactions and error alerts, only. My last interaction with these folks was due to their subject line "Production System Down?" playing hell with email rules I had setup. Rich Hurd may remember them from his posts from March of '02 Before that, it may have been Whether it's Dynamic Web Enterprises, Digital Movers, dmovers.org, dmovers.com, etc. I don't know. I do get other SPAM, but typically, don't know it's genesis and can't address it. With this one, I can. It's not "targeted marketing" If you've made it clear you don't want it. It's SPAM. Please Stay out of my InBox! WTF are you ranting about? I didn't see any Digital Movers mail today ... or this week. Are you sure you aren't getting it directly? And, if it's that much of a problem, did you try using filters in your mail client? Or picking up the phone and asking them to unsubscribe you? %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% % Brian Lehrhoff, EA ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Messaging Consultant 201-913-4506 Upgrade your Quickbooks for 20% off at http://ea.brianlehrhoff.com Circular 230 Notice is located at http://ea.brianlehrhoff.com/230notice.html %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% % ----- Original Message ---- From: "Morrison, Martin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, May 24, 2007 3:28:47 PM Subject: [EDI-L] <RANT> Attention Digital Movers... Please Stay out of my InBox! Apparently "permanently", as in Jim Curcurato's assurance that, "Replying to the unsubscribe address WILL in fact remove you permanently from our mailing list as there is no desire or advantage to repeatedly send information to someone who does not want" has a different meaning on your planet. I can't help it if you don't like using the EDI-L list to hawk your wares, but I don't appreciate it being harvested/reharvested to SPAM me, directly. Martin A.
