Don Trafford, one of the greatest EDI, and therefore, eBusiness
pioneers, sadly passed away in a hospice near his home in the UK this
afternoon in the company of his family. Don was battling lung cancer
for the last 12 months. According to his wife he died in a peaceful
way without pain. Don has been a dear friend to many of us, we will
all miss him.

The funeral will not be until the week of the 24th. If you want to
send condolences the address for Rita Trafford, his wife, is:

10 Range Way
Shepperton, Middlesex, TW17 9NW
United Kingdom

A few of Don's closed friends, with the permission of his family, are
in the process of setting up a open and neutral web site that will
serve as a place where all of us that knew him through his work for
the UN can place a tribute and share pictures. The site will serve as
memorial people can visit when searching the Net for information
about EDI, B2B and eBusiness, areas that Don pioneered. I hope to
provide details very shortly on how to get to the web site.

Regards,

Klaus
