Fred, We recently implemented a CIDX server (derived from our RNIF 1.1 implementation), this is why I can help you out a little bit.
> Are most people implementing the Preamble header and Service header? The main difference to RNIF 1.1 are the missing Distributed Notification of Failure and the user defined PIPs. The RNO format is beneath some header values (please have a look at the CIDX documentation for this, http://www.cidx.org/Portals/0/Publications/Envelope_and_Security_v3.0.pdf) the same. Some partners need the base64 encoding, some don't. Better add a partner specific switch. That means, just take a RNIF 1.1 implementation and modify it is the fastest way to create a CIDX server. > It is not clear to us where the schema and schema version is specified > in the RNIF 1.1 envelope. If it is not located in the envelope is it > typically parsed out of the <!DOCTYPE> in the Action Message? Its in the Doctype, this looks like <!DOCTYPE ServiceHeader SYSTEM "ServiceHeaderPartMessageGuideline.dtd">. Please be careful, this is different for signals and actions. > > We are striving for imdempotent transactions. Which header is used for > specifying the unique identifier for the business document? The Action > header in the Service header? As in all RosettaNet messages you have a kind of transaction id and a special message id. The transaction id could be found in the service header below "TransactionIdentity", the message id could be found below "ActionIdentity".
