A new version for "bots" open source Edi translator is out: http://bots.sourceforge.net
The 1.1.0 version has support for X12 and sap idoc. The documentation is improved. You can download a plugin with a X12 translation. (the plugin is called "demo_x12.zip"). (a plugin is a predefined configuration with mapping, grammar files etc). on how to install a plugin see documentation page on website. I want to thank everybody on this mailing list who helped me to understand X12 better, and especially the people who where so generous to provide 'real' X12 messages. The x12 plugin contains a very simple mapping. So far I found no time to set up a more realistic mapping. Partly this is due to lack of time, partly this is due because I do not have 'real world' expertise with X12; I have enough edifact experience to know that a x12 mapping without the adequate knowlegde is not a useful exercise. My edifact mappings are 'real'. I am open to suggestion on how to make a real mapping for a x12 transaction, eg a 850; which fields are needed for a application. This would improve the plugin a whole lot. kind regard, Henk-Jan Ebbers -- kind regards, Henk-Jan Ebbers Bots open source edi software [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://bots.sourceforge.net ...
