EDI Job Description: ================ We are seeking a team member with proven EDI skills and the desire to expand their knowledge in various B2B processes. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of applications, preferably in the SAP IDOC environment. Understanding of GIS Windows, RosettaNet and the Logistics/Automotive industry is a definite plus. In this position, the person will support, create maps, provide technical designs and documentation while working directly with IT business analysts and both internal and external customer/EDI groups. Strong Mapping and Translation experience- Knowledge of how EDI integrates/interfaces with SAP very helpful- Mapping and Translation of both in-bound and out-bound transactions- Experience with Retail, Electronics, Automotive industry very helpful. Immediate duties and responsibilities: ============================= Monitor EDI transactions and subsystems to ensure successful data transmissions Analyze error status in GIS, identifying inaccuracy Analyze error status in SAP, determining resolution Initiate and maintain contact with customers regarding issues/upgrades Review and document Trading Partner requirements and modifications of existing maps Test maps and review results with internal customers, to ensure SOX compliance Support business applications as related to EDI processing/interfaces. Participate in projects, business improvement initiatives, and client implementations Establish strong working relationships with trading partners, technical managers, business managers, business/system analyst, and end users (internal and external customers). Prepare and conduct trading partner surveys Design and maintenance of maps for various EDI transaction sets Setup and maintenance of trading partner profiles Assistance with development and/or maintenance of program/operations documentation, and user guides Creation of preliminary and/or detailed technical designs Essential Functions: =============== Minimum of two years applicable mapping expertise with ANSI X12, Edifact, Odette Knowledge of SAP IDOC¿s Minimum of 2 years experience with various transactions, including, but not limited to: 850, 855, 856, 810, 830, 862, Orders, Ordersp, Invoic, Delfor, Deljit, Desadv Must understand the full life cycle of implementing a new Trading Partner or an EDI transaction Knowledge of EDI communications (VAN, Direct dial, FTP, and AS2). Experience in EDI systems within the Automotive Tier 1 environment VDA experience a plus Qualifications: =========== Minimum of Bachelors degree required. Extremely self-motivated and able to work with minimal guidance or team interaction Highly organized and detail oriented Flexibility, interest and aptitude to learn other technologies Willing to work additional hours, when necessary Exhibit strong verbal, written, and communication skills Familiar with data file types (XML, EDI, Flat Files, etc) and mappings Fluent in English (foreign language knowledge a plus) Desired Skills: =========== Delivery or development experience with business to business integration technologies, preferably Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) JAVA and/or .Net knowledge a plus __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
