Your experience is similar to mine. Sysco believes they are the biggest,
baddest dude in the foodservice world and they can do whatever they want.
They may be right ... for now. But winners don't stay on top in the
business world forever by screwing the people they do business with.

Subject: [EDI-L] Sysco and iTradeNetwork

The Sysco/iTradeNetwork saga continues...

The latest word from my client is that iTradeNetworks wants big bucks to do
any
kind of EDI... They offer 2 options: Web or X12 (aka robbery)

Web One-Time 'On-Boarding' $2,500.

EDI/Flat file $7,500 PER DOCUMENT
To implement 3 documents, setup an ftp connection and Catalog
interoperability
with GS1 $41,500 !!!!!!

Annual subscription (based on volume of business) over $4,000

I am stunned.
The client will probably do all their invoicing manually using the Web
Portal,
since they can save over $41,000 . They can hire somebody to come in for an

hour every day for the next 10 years before they come close to the $41,500
cost
of automating the documents. If it takes 2 hours, then it will only take 5
years ;-)

I know there are accuracy issues, but these prices are absurd!

I keep telling myself that there is something I am not getting right... but

these numbers are shocking.

All the other TPs we've done with this client were free.
