If what you have in your 'large' files is a collection of ANSI interchanges, I offer an editing tool which lets you extract selected transactions, functional groups or interchanges to a 'new file' fully enveloped with control totals adjusted; then you can edit the envelopes for control number, dates and times. Our EDI Pal (tm) ANSI EDI Viewer-Editor-Printer includes a 'search' feature which helps you find your 'transaction of interest' , eg, find by invoice number. The EDI Pal software also offers formatted printing, presentation of transaction sets with all the loops shown and some other goodies. It was designed specifically for those who have to work with 'raw' ANSI data. (A 50 Mb file is no problem at all). I offer a full-featured time-limited version of this tool.
