Never heard of it. I took a brief glimpse at a list of document types in My X12/004010 standard manual and didn't find any that were a PNI - or anything that could be "anagramed" to be a PNI....
Maybe check with the trading partner and see what they want? When I did a google search - only things related to PNI were about a PERIMETER NETWORK INTRODUCTION or the Prescott New Instructions Software Developer's Guide.... and then this from a government website about prostate issues (perineural invasion (PNI)) and prostate surgery..... and finally, the Pharmacuetical News Index (another PNI).... there are many others out there... But nothing I could find had anything to do with EDI.
