Paul, The other two connectivity options for Invois is sftp/tls or AS2. I used sftp over tls at my previous job. I was a pain to set up through the firewall if you use one because the range of ports you need to open. Once it was up and running however I did not have any other issues. I would recommend that route over AS2 if you don't have AS2 in place.
