Syed, I encourage you to check our Foresight's validation tools, www.foresight4business.com. For production validation, there's Instream, http://www.foresight4business.com/products/instream.htm. It will validate in & outbound data beyond just syntax but also content & other business edits. It will produce 997's, 824's and send e-mail alerts for non-compliant data. Error reports are clear & concise making it easy to understand why the error occurred. Instream is compatible to with most translators and backend systems. For pre or post production validation, there's EDISIM, http://www.foresight4business.com/products/edisim.htm. EDISIM's validation engines will analyze, EDI (X12/EDIFACT), XML schema, DTD and Flat Files. If you have additional questions, please contact me. Beth Separs [EMAIL PROTECTED] 614-526-4352
_____ From: Syed O Rahman [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, January 18, 2008 3:55 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [EDI-L] EDI data Validation I am new in EDI technology and got an assignment to validate data load in EDI tables (right after the Translator). Manual testing seems to be extremely tedious, exhaustive and defect prone. Is there anyone who validates EDI data? I would like to know process, tools, techniques etc. on EDI data validation.
