Denise,
I had been working for a company in Atlanta for 10 years and started the EDI
for the company with inbound, outbound orders, invoices, auto shipments, etc
and they just eliminated my job to the shock of everyone.
Best thing for me. I am leaving Atlanta and heading to New Orleans, LA for a
change in life and another career in EDI. Looking for the job there now....
HINT HINT anyone listening. I am TLW, BizManager, Mappers bought or
homegrown, and some GIS knowledge. I have 22 years on my resume with my
objective, Software/hardware bullets, schooling and interests. Looks good and
reads well.

P.S. Sometimes I work with the deers in headlights too.
P.S.S. Speaking of deers. What is the difference between an idea and a
ideer.. you know the way some people say idea.
For an idea make a fist and put it next to your eye then raise
your pointer finger... makes the light bulb gesture.. OK.
For an ideer make a two finger peace sign with your right hand then bend your 2
fingers some. Next start from right the left at the same height as your eyes
and make a small up and down movement as you move you hand across in front of
your face... it will look like a deer galloping in front of you. That is the
difference between ideer and a idea. LOL

I love that! It is true! Whenever I conduct a meeting most of the
people in the meeting have the "deer in the headlights" look when I
start talking..
Even some of my co-workers even admit to zoning out when I talk details.
I still have my job here as far as I know. I feel it is time to dust
off the resume and update it while I still have a job. I went shopping
this weekend and several stores in our fairly large mall had closed.
Disney store was one of them. This is what got me thinking I should not
put it off any longer.
I love the humor. Humor makes life bearable. I am the type of person
when your waiting in the doctors office for results of a test, I go
rummaging through the stuff and go "oh look plastic gloves".. yes I
get in trouble but oh well...
