Good luck. My team did a cost analysis for a pharmaceutical company about 8 years ago. Maybe things have changed by now; however, at the time you could purchase Gentran or Mercator and almost fully fund the resources needed to install and configure those products for less that the base price of IBMs EDI solution. That being said in almost 15 years of working and consulting EDI I have only meet one person that claimed to consult with the product and he actually worked for IBM.
