Hmmm.. makes Me wonder how much cash that company (Kofax?) is passing 
along to Chris Mellor (the author of the ... article ...) for such a 
stunning blow to the EDI Industry....

One thing that Mellor fails to grasp is that EDI can be and IS "human 
readable" - if you know how to read it...  Hell, I wrote about that 
in a blog a while back over on http://editalk.com/edi-
news/2008/03/25/edi-vs-xml-how-readable-is-xml - about how EDI can be 
human readable...

Of course, there is also the concept of - oh, I don't know - creating 
a REPORT in your back-end system that can be formatted to be "human 
readable" and can look anyway the AP department wants it to look!

Well, at least Mellor didn't talk about using XML to get the data 
from vendor to buyer....  Geez...!
