I'm assuming that you have visited this web site and realize that this
training is not EDI training but encompasses a broad range of topics
covering

The curricula share a set of four core courses, then break off into
separate, in-depth course tracks designed to train and certify anyone
planning, selecting, implementing, and managing electronic health records
(EHR); other health information technology (HIT); and Health Information
Exchange (HIE).

If you boss is encouraging you to become certified through this
organization, what's your push-back?

BTW, I do know about this organization. It's faculty is composed of the
healthcare industry's leading experts on the various topics they teach.

Subject: [EDI-L] A Friday Question

Folks,

My boss came across some ad for CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL IN HEALTH
INFORMATION EXCHANGE (CPHIE). There is a website,
http://www.healthitcertification.com. He seems to think that it would a
good thing for me to do.

I don't have any objection to taking a few online classes and a test if
they are likely to be useful. I can't tell if this is the case.

There's probably a better forum for this question -- but ....

Does anyone know about this, have any experience with this or just have
an opinion about it?

Thanks LouB
