First off, it's Inovis. I'm not aware of any ERP that has Inovis "built in". I'd suggest you validate this claim and you'll need to get costs from whomever is trying to sell this to you. They'll want purchase price, some kind of maintenance fee annually, licensing fees, up front and annual maybe, consulting time (this is where they make the money), yadda yadda yadda, whatever they think they can get you to pay. Make them write something down.

We are currently using a third party for EDI, meaning that they send us a bunch of flat files to our AS/400 (System i), which have been translated and fitted into various fields that we then process. We do primarily 810, 850, with a little of 832. We in MIS have been told to bring this EDI in house as part of this new change. One of the leading contenders for the new ERP has built in already with Innovis. If we go with them, assuming we have to carry through with Innovis as well, what kind of cost items am I looking at? I realize this is a vague question but I have no idea where to being to unravel the full nature of all the pieces.
