I mostly access the Infor Visual tables directly for export purposes as the
VMDI programs are flaky, however, if memory serves, the syntax for exporting
from the command-line is:

Vmdixchg.exe -D<database> -U<user> -P<password> -F<directory> INV0000 -A
This would export your invoices and append data to any existing - replace
<????> with valid data.

As far as import goes, I use both the VMDI programs and direct table writes,
but use the VMDI programs through the user interface, however, the above
syntax should work as well.

Subject: [EDI-L] Infor Visual Manufacturing Command-line

Hi guys,

It's been a few years since I've had a post.

I'm working on some integration with VMDI, and trying to find some
documentation on the command-line interface to VMDI.

I can map its data to/from Gentran for Windows just fine, but working
on automating the VMDI side of it by having Gentran spawn the VMDI
import/export functions through its command-line interface.

For some reason the online help is broken and I cannot access its only
section on VMDI command-line.

I did some searching on this group and found some general discussion
on Infor Visual.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks much,

Andrew
