Hi Steville, Ken, Leah and others,

Sanity reigned in the end and a new position was found for me within the
company. I'll be doing very similiar work oddly enough in an organization
that falls under the same VP that wanted to take away my headcount.

I was told by my manager that a few folks in the company went to bat for me.
I remain employed and able to pay the mortgage on my 1st house that I moved
into 5 months ago.

I feel your pain and frustration. the same thing happened to me in June of
this year. I hope you will also get a good severance package and then
collect unemployment on top of that.

Get your resume ready ASAp and post it on career builder and dice.com.
setup acounts on these sites and have them send you alerts daily.
apply/send resumes to companies for any position you feel qualified. call,
email, followup with the companies on a regular basis.

A good site to see lots of jobs at a glance is indeed.com. if interested i
can send you the contact information for a couple good recruiters that offer
contract to hire, contract and permanent placement positions.

If you are not yet on the linkedin.com network (this is a professional
networking site), this would be a good time to get connected. there are
jobs listed on there that are not on the other career sites. If you'd like
to get on, let me know and I can send you an invitation to join.

Hi Guys and Gals,

After surviving 20+ company layoffs over the past 9 years, they are calling
my number now. Why? Am I bad at what I do? Heck no! It's because they
want to bring in an implementation project manager with more experience and
a harder edge ("SOB" was the term used) and it isn't in my genetic makeup to
be a b*tch. In other words I'm too nice and too cooperative with my
customers.

If you know the name of a company that still believes in putting customers
first, please reply privately to [EMAIL PROTECTED] com with the name of the
company.

I have until 12/31/08 to find a new job or join the unemployment line with
all the others folks getting hit by bad executive decisions.

Thanks,

GMM
