Client is integrating their legacy EDI package (called RMS) to the Inovis
package, working through Oracle. Job is in Charlotte, NC in the Uptown area .

This position will primarily focus on the maintenance, support, and set-up of
an Inovis EDI package working with Oracle eBusiness suite version 11.5.10
through the Oracle e-Commerce gateway. Additionally, it will also involve the
development and maintenance of a variety of business applications written in
both .NET (VB/C#) and Oracle Forms that utilize both SQL Server (T-SQL) and
Oracle (PL/SQL) database languages.
The first 6 to 12 months of the job will be getting up to speed on the package,
then once it is up and running, that will drop to about 70% of their job, with
30% becoming new responsibilities, so candidates need to be aware of that
upfront.
When you see "business applications" in the job description, those refer to
financial reporting, sales reports, manufacturing reports, etc.
SIZE OF TEAM: Clients IT department is broken up into Technical Services
(Infrastructure), and Applications (BAs, Developers, Business/Product Managers,
etc. - this is 30 people)-total of 65 people in IT. They are a publicly traded
company, so someone who has worked in a process driven or SOX environment would
work well.
The job responsibilities include the following:
1. Develop an in-depth understanding of the EDI environment including all
trading partners
2. Work tightly with both end users and trading partners during set-up, testing
and problem research/resolution
3. Have experience working with both Oracle and/or SQL Server databases
4. Develop and maintain enhancements and customizations to clients business
applications and provide support as needed
5. Work in a team oriented environment to implement the changes requested by
the business
Minimal travel is required for this position.
Skills Required
1. Must have a solid EDI background and experience with the Inovis software
package
The candidate will need to demonstrate competency within the Inovis EDI package
to include the following:
BizLink
o Trading Partner setup
o Process Rules
o Transports (AS2 & PGP encryption)
o Transformation profiles
Mapper
o Experience mapping to interface tables
o Experience working with flat files and XML data
o Experience working with Database connections
o Experience working with Java Script
Candidates will be questioned extensively in this area.
2. Must have proven database skills within Oracle (10g R2) and/or SQL Server
(2005)
Practical and recent experience with Oracle PL/SQL and/or SQL Server T-SQL is
required. Candidate should have a solid understanding of the language(s)
including stored procedure and package development. They will need to be
comfortable reading/writing moderate to complex SQL statements and should be
familiar with multiple SQL join types and understand their uses. Candidates
will be questioned in this area.
3. Must have the following aptitudes

Additional Skills
1. Development experience with the Microsoft .NET application languages (VB/C#)
2. Experience with web applications
3. Experience with Oracle Forms development would be a plus
Experience Required
1. 3 - 5 years of direct EDI development experience with at least one year of
Invois experience
2. 4 6 years of database experience
3. Experience working within a Manufacturing company is a plus
