I used Tibco briefly about five years ago and didnt much like it. I much preferred GIS. This was an initial gut reaction. But you cant really take it from me. I didnt work Tibco long enough to really get it and I was given the opportunity to get GIS training, once the project decided to go with Sterling.
You need to evaluate whats best for you, including what kind of overall deal you can get from both companies. Good luck. I have a pretty good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of SI, but have not used Tibco's Business connect. Can any of you who are using Tibco's Business connect for EDI and sFTP provide inputs based on your experience of this tool. Especially, it would be great if some one who has used both these technologies give your insights.
