I received this answer from Sterling Commerce.

Unfortunately, Gentran:Server for Unix 6.0.02 or 6.1 is not supported
with Windows 7.

We have had some customers on their own to get the client to install
successfully on a Windows 7 machine by going to Windows Virtual PC and
switching the compatibility mode to XP mode.

Sterling Commerce's plan is to test Gentran:Server Unix 6.2 Client and
Workstation with the Windows 7 OS version. The tentative plan is to
release 6.2 towards the end of 2011 or during the first half 2012. The
schedule could change.

Thank you.
