I've never used gentran iSeries so I cannot appreciate those differences.
 I've used gentran basic and basic plus 0S/390 and gentran server from
version 1.x to 5.x and while I use GIS/SI now I remember quite a lot.  I do
suspect that any change made under those circumstances (no help, no training
and apparently not by choice) would adversely color your opinion of the
product.

Are there specific issues that vex you that we can assist you with?
