Hi all,

Thanks for the feed back on the multiple lot# issue on the ASN's. Received
5 or 6 responses and low and behold, there were 4 different ways that were
mentioned to do it, each of which by the way, we already determined could be
used. Leah and Todd asked if the customer told us what they wanted - the
answer is yes they did - They want a DIFFERENT UCC# for each different lot# -
The lot#'s will be represented on a REF segment within the LIN loop with an
'LT' qualifier. To get around the qty issue - that's why they want a different
UCC# for an item with multiple lots. This in a warehouse environment - is not
a good practical solution.

So, what I was really looking for was to see if there was some sort of
industry standard that companies are adhering to, to send lot#'s in the ASN and
handling multiple lot#'s for an item that is sent. The multiple LIN and SN1
segments is probably the easiest to accomplish and makes the most sense, but
unfortunately, this particular customer (Vitamin Shoppe)did not select this
method.

Thanks again everyone for the responses and it looks like - its open season for
sending these multiple lots for the same item.
