Dear Members of EDI Discussion List,

I am currently exploring the possibility of reentering into the EDI /
e-Commerce workforce and I thought that you might be able to offer me some
advice and direction.

I'm seeking the advice of professionals in this field about the best
training and entry routes into applications utilized by the various
departments/agencies of the Federal Government and would very much
appreciate an opportunity to meet with you, or to speak on the phone, to
hear about your experience or referral to a federal employee in this field
of endeavor. I hope you may be able to offer advice on matters such as
career opportunities and trends in the sector, on conducting an effective
job search, and on how best to prepare the documentation required by the
Federal Government. One of my many current action items is reviewing the
FIPS 161-2 Page on the uses of EDI within the Federal Government.

My background is strong in all facets of E-Commerce Business and Technical
functions. Recently I have re-invented myself in the areas of sales,
teaching and implementing change at not-for profit organizations. These
business oriented functions have enabled me to develop strong organizational
and planning skills and I have enjoyed taking a team approach to the
projects I have been involved with.

I would emphasize that at this point I am not actually seeking employment,
but am focusing on extending my knowledge and understanding of the usage /
reliance and future direction of EDI / e-Commerce within the Federal
Government.

If you would like to arrange a convenient time to speak, please contact me
via [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> .

Best regards,

Mark Hoffman
