Jason,

As usual a lot depends on what types of products and what industry you are in.  
Putting the phrase 'not realistic' makes it sound like you are clueless about 
whatever dates you are referring to.   You can use the 855 just to ack the 850 
similar to the 997.  Why add useless detail info?  I have seen all kinds of 
convoluted info in MSG segments and often it just caused more problems.

Hi all,just want to get your opinion on this.We are a distributor and have been 
using Po Ack (855) with our end customers for quite some time now.However, our 
business wants us to put a text message like "the dates are estimated, not 
realistic"...to avoid any legal binding.
Just want to know if this is normal in EDI messages or if there could be any
