My former employer, in Agoura Hills, CA, is looking for a permanent GIS developer/architect. They had been looking since the beginning of January last time I spoke with my former boss, a couple of weeks ago. I don’t know if they’ve found anybody yet but ideally you would also have some knowledge of IDocs, Java, XML, as well as BPM development, mapping, PGP, the IDoc adapter, and GIS communications adapters, etc.
If anybody’s interested contact me off-line and you can convince me I’ll give you contact info. I believe there is an opening out in CA, for a GIS consultant, although it doesn't say what city. Another avenue besides the numerous job boards is LinkedIn. If you're not on LinkedIn, you probably should be, especially if you are looking for new work. Simply sign up and then job the numerous groups for EDI (I belong to about 8 myself). Other than that, just continue to monitor the group. We have several recruiters which actively post EDI positions and I also post openings as I get them separately. Although I am currently employed in my 2nd year in a permanent position, I do understand the value of networking and checking a broad range of sources for positions after getting laid off 6 times last decade. Good luck with your search.
