SCOPE:
Responsibilities will include:
* Communicating with internal and external customers to scope, develop,
test,
implement and maintain EDI transactions in accordance with best practices.
* Documenting and publishing EDI data base and communication processes.
* Establishing logistical and programmatic relationships between
different
cross-departmental database driven systems.
* Matching Client’s IS capabilities to customers IS requirements.
Delivering
systems integrations and means of interface among divergent and or competing
systems.
* Effectively communicating project status reports including foreseen
obstacles
and possible restraints.
* Monitoring and supporting current EDI and database environment.
* Participating in process improvements by providing innovative ideas
to
increase customer service, enhance accuracy, and elevate productivity.
Core Competencies will include:
* In-depth knowledge of SQL Server scripting.
* Experience in EDI concepts and transactions.
* Strong business process and systems analysis skills.
* Ability to recognize problems and implement systems-based solutions.
* Extremely customer focused, capable of working with a strong sense of
urgency.
* Strong interpersonal skills to successfully partner with our client's
business and IT associates.
* Excellent communication skills: presentation, written and oral. A
self
starter with perseverance and the creativity to overcome obstacles to achieve
project objectives.
* Must be able to perform as an effective contributor in a team
oriented
environment and accomplish desired results while working with a high degree of
quality.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related technology degree
preferred.
* Business Experience: Multi-site
Warehousing/Distribution/Transportation
experience a plus.
* Specific Knowledge Required: T-SQL, EDI development software, data
mapping,
procedure coding
* General Knowledge Required:Software - Microsoft Office, EDI
translator or
other data translation platform,-Infor/TMW Systems Boomi, are a plus.
* Operating Systems- SQL, DB2, SAP a plus
* Database/File Types:CVS, XML, MS SQL, IBM DB2, iDoc
