Just left a position where we had SHC as a trading partner. No there is no reduction in IG's or ISA ID's. Best thing I did was just keep an XLS to document what ISA ID went for what document/message for what Sears Division.
On top of that, we also did business with TGI (The Great Indoors), another division of Sears which came in for both RSOS and RIM divisions (set customer id by shipto code) and had just completed an implementation with Sears.com. Unfortunately I don't have a contact at Sears EDI, but most of your observations are correct...
