I’m researching up these docs for a client . It would help me out to be able
to actually “see” a real world sample of these Docs. (I have a few example
Specs… and a request for “real” specs and samples from the 3PL in question
has already been sent off).

I’ve already “cobbled up” a sample 947 and have set up a map to import it,
but it is not working as I expect it to… I suspect there are requirements in
the pre-existing Syspro setup for this doc that are not described in the
“Syspro Documentation”… I also do not see the “extra” info that is in a 947
that might be useful to see on an “Import Report” (W1901 – Reason Code, G69
– Line Item Detail) and am considering an “enhancement request” to get those
included (even if optionally) in the report… There also is a sense (backed
up by some sample specs I was able to locate) that this is a document
describing a “warehouse to warehouse ‘transfer’”… there is definitely a
sense of “From” and “To” within the Import my sample triggered, but although
I can see how to configure the “To” warehouse… I see no setting for a “From”
warehouse and suspect there is something in the EDI Header that would set
that…

Anyway, I was hoping one or more of you might have a “real world” example of
a 947 you could pass on… Not to worry, I’ll deal with changing ISA
sender/receiver and all that… As well as replacing the “stock” in your
sample with “stock” in my test company…

Same thing with an 846. I can see from the info I searched up that this is
more of a “cycle count” or “stock reconciliation” report… (and hence is
actually likely a doc I will be recommending support of with the client).
But, I did not attempt to create a sample… I was hoping instead that one or
more of you might have a (short?!?) example of a real world 846 that I could
use for my (mad doctor) experiments…

Speaking of “editing EDI”, has anyone tried “Liason’s” new (?) EDI Notepad
Pro? If so, is it worth the license? Or should I just keep using the Free
version (Or Softshare’s 6.0 version)
