#5757-1 Programmer Analyst I / Seattle, WA (9 Month Contract)
Job Description:
* Client stores and sells millions of unique items through its
Fulfillment Centers (FCs). These items are shipped by our carriers from tens of
thousands of vendors into the many FCs in the Client network. We need different
quantities of each of these items, we need to pick them up from the vendors at
different times, and bring it into the FCs at specific times depending on the
priority of the items. We then ship millions of packages out via several
carriers to our customers. We use several hundred carriers, and have tens of
thousands of vendors that we interact with on a day to day basis, and exchange
information for millions of packages via EDI in real time.
Qualifications
* Must be able to pass a 7 year criminal background check
* This position requires a minimum of a BA/BS in Business, Engineering,
Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
* 3-5 years experience with ANSI X12 standards, especially V4010 and
above, including Order and Financial series documents such as 850, 855, 856,
810 and others
* 3-5 years experience with EDIFACT standards, especially D96A and
above, including Order and Financial series documents such as ORDERS, ORDRSP,
DESADV, INVOIC and others
* Experience with EDI communications standards and protocols – AS2,
standard VAN-based EDI, FTP, HTTPS
* Experience with at least one EDI Software Implementation (Seeburger,
Gentran, etc.) recommended
* Experience writing functional design documents, troubleshooting
complex EDI failures, and testing
* Independence and flexibility
* Analytical approach to problem solving and a track record of driving
results through continuous improvement
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency at leveraging precious resources
* High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple,
competing priorities simultaneously
* Composed, poised and professional demeanor
* History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get
the job done
* Well-timed tenacity and conviction
Being vocally self critical
