Actually, just tried a DUNS lookup on D&B website, and, lo and behold, that 
search tool is gone. I called the toll free number and was told I'd have to 
purchase a report. I guess they're hurting. We'll have to all switch to phone 
numbers!

Well, DUNS number is public. If you can find the street address, you can 
find the DUNS. Phone number is more or less public, too.

I think even 'newbies' can figger out the '01' or '12' qualifiers to go with 
those numbers and give that a try.

The seventy-nine bucks is to give the buyer a sense of 'value' because there 
is no other way he will get same in this case. At least not if he talks to 
any members here, that is.
