No, you do not need to know RPG to read the documentation. The documentation is 
easy to read and follow if you know EDI. I know the tech writer for this 
product 
at Inovis (GXS). If you need specific info, let me know.

I believe you'll need to know (or be able to figure out) RPG which is the 
native 

"language" of the AS400 and what the maps are written in, I think.

I know someone who managed without AS400 experience, but it was painful.
