Ken Thanks for your response, The xsd has maxLength defined for all simple type (attributes) except for the node (complextype) , I verified some sample data for complex type and looks like length is not mandatory for complex type atleast in the samples, I did not see length mentioned. So I am not sure why its complaining about the '0' length . Thought may be its specific to ecmap tool and its expecting xsd in certain format .I am surprised this error is not listed in ecmap reference manual too. May be its Sybase database specific error.
