Hi Kevin,
We offer an easy web EDI solution called Athena by Liaison Technologies
that is very inexpensive. It can be used in two ways by your friend.
If the volume of invoices is low, I'd say 10-25/week or fewer
they can just pop into a web invoice form with their browser
and enter the info, or if they can receive 850 POs they can
'turn them around' taking the 850 information and creating an
invoice
out of it. In this case they would just add an invoice#,
freight, etc. and send it.
If the volume is higher, let's say over 25 or 50/week then
for a bit more money we can add mapping capability (Delta
software) to Athena
where, for instance, they could export the invoice info from say
QuickBooks
or enter it into an Excel spreadsheet, and export an XML or .csv
file and upload it to Athena for processing.
Either way it would be simple and inexpensive for your friend to do it.

One of my old friends sent his good friend to me because they are looking to
send Invoices via EDI to Walgreen (for quicker payment).
Does anyone have a recommendation for an affordable (euphemism for cheap)
EDI solution for them.
