Jason,
I've been using TrustedLink i-Series for years. It's the translator I worked on in retail for a big western retailer. As has been mentioned, TLi is an EDI platform. No RPG is required - except (as mentioned) on the back end, taking the translated data from TrustedLink into your ERP. Mapping is done super simply through the "visual mapper" part of the application - even in the oldest versions of TLi that I worked with (version 2.1, they're now up to at least 6.2 if not higher). If they (a possible employer) is asking you to read & interpret mapping docs, it's really no different than reading and interpreting mapping docs for any other application or platform. If they're wanting you to do the mapping, it's really simple. The GUI for the PC client is really simple - can be done with a few simple clicks of the mouse or you can get more manually involved. If they're looking for a TrustedLInk "guru" - and the work can be done remotely, I'd appreciate you sending them my way, if it's nothing you want to or can do.
