Title: SOA Technical Specialist
Location: Cincinnati, OH
The SOA Technical Specialistwill be the primary client contact for day-to-day
operations and support issues and will work with the IO project team on
proactive measures for the systems. Responsibilities will include but not be
limited to:
• Provide real-time technical support for environments and supported
applications and technologies (WebMethodsIS, WebMethodsDeveloper, Trading
Networks, MQ Series) while escalating as necessary to expert level help
• Capable of maintaining day-to-day client activities and correspondence for a
short period of time in the absence of direct leadership
• Collaborate directly with client team members of all levels for day to day
operational support & delivery of projects and issue escalation and resolution
• Involvement in support of the current environment, including break-fix
responsibilities
• Research and resolve technical issues - defined and undefined, moderately
complex related to system OS and architecture, network, performance, security.
• Perform technical migrations and functional migrations between environments
• Provide support to maintain security architecture related to all the
environments, includes detailing security, network and monitoring requirements
(in conjunction with hosting provider and Accenture)
• Participate24x7 on-call support rotation for specific environment including
1st-contact triage for application problems
• Maintain documentation regarding environment specific configuration
• Work with other application teams to ensure quality across environments
• Participate in change management and problem management processes, including
identifying potential impacts to architecture and environments
• Participate in infrastructure, database and application upgrades as
appropriate
• Participate in code reviews, unit and regression testing, and documenting
results
• Communicating status to Leads on a regular basis.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 year webMethodsIS experience
• Minimum 2 year webMethodsdevelopment experience.
• Minimum 1 year Trading Networks experience
Preferred Skill Requirements:
• 1 year of Seeburgerexperience.
• 1 Year MQSeriesadministration
• 2+ years of experience in SDL lifecycle and development concepts
• 4+ years of experience in ability to lead junior resources in a global
support model
• Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to resolve technical issues and escalate issues when appropriate
• Responsible to complete tasks on time as defined by requirements.
