Leah,

It's RND and I've been working with a company there converting it back and
forth to/from EDIFACT. The language barriers have been a joy to deal with (not
sure if they offered Portuguese in my high school) :)

The official site for the standard/industry is:

http://www.anfavea.com.br/index.html

EDI site is http://www.anfavea.com.br/edi.html

I'd be interested to hear how you progress--I think I've lost some follicles
over this.

Matt

Subject: [EDI-L] EDI in Brazil

Hi Everyone,

I seem to have a vague memory from many years ago that Brazil, and particularly
the Automotive Industry in Brazil used it's own standard.  For some reason, RDA
sticks in my mind (I don't know if I'm just conflating VDA and Brazil,
possibly).  Have any of you worked with Brazilian companies doing EDI
recently?  Are you aware of a "national" standard so to speak or are they using
X12/EDIFACT or something else.  If you've had experience with manufacturing or
Automotive, that would be even more helpful, but anything is welcome.  My good
friend Google is letting me down on this one.

Thanks for any and all information, even smart remarks (funny smart remarks)
are welcome.

Leah
