It's not the "self-identifying data" that's giving me fits. It's the
"self-propagating data" that's a real bear.

Cheers,

Paul

P.S. Don't mean to make light of your work, my funny-bone is tingling this
morning. I actually have read most of the papers you have posted and though
they are admittedly of the dry, academic variety, there are some interesting
concepts.

Dear List:
I think one of the big things on the horizon relating to data standards
is the approach to "self identifying data" with precision so that it can
be accessed automatically by mathematical models.
This is a blog post about a new academic journal on the subject:
IJORIS - Operations Research & Information Systems
<http://ingehygd.blogspot.com/2011/04/ijoris-operations-research-informa\
<http://ingehygd.blogspot.com/2011/04/ijoris-operations-research-information
.html>
tion.html>
We won an award for best paper published in this journal during 2010.
The interface between models and data is very important for the future
productivity of cloud computing and the Internet.
