Messaging Service Technical Analyst
 
Skills/Experience/Education:
        * Applicants should be familiar with Business to Business (B2B) and 
Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) interfaces including ANSI 
X12 EDIstandards and/or XML and Web Services. 

        * Knowledge of company-specific business practices is helpful, but not 
required. Technical proficiency with B2B and EAI engines in an ERP environment 
is a plus. 

        * Prefer working knowledge of SAP Process Integration (PI) 7.1, Gentran 
Server 6.x IBM Sterling Integrator (GIS) and/or Websphere Message Broker 
systems and their practical application. 

        * Proficient knowledge of Java, C, Perl and/or UNIX shell programming 
required. Strong analytical thinking, creative problem solving, oral and 
written communication skills and the ability to convey technical details 
effectively to both technical and non-technical clients are preferred as well 
as the ability to multi-task, self-schedule, etc. 

        * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or 
related discipline with an information technology focus - or - five or more 
years of relevant experience required. 

        * Demonstrated ability in execution of multiple or large projects and 
experience working with internal and external clients to develop solutions to 
complex business problems is a plus.

Normal Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm



Duties: 
Work with the SAP business and functional team members and other technical 
resources to design, develop, test and implement new (or enhancements to 
existing) B2B and EAI interfaces. Review and evaluate business processes and 
requirements and provide input as to how B2B or EAI may be incorporated to 
improve or automate a given business process. Use common B2B and EAI practices 
to ensure standards compliance. Ensure that B2B and EAI development items move 
successfully to production and provide initial production support upon 
implementation. Participate in the evaluation of 3rd party solutions, which may 
be required to meet business objectives. Work with the Messaging Services 
Business Coordinator to analyze and correct problems with existing B2B and EAI 
interfaces that require programmatic solutions.
