 Remedi has partnered with a company in Columbus, Ohio to hire a WTX
Support Analyst on a contract to hire basis.

 The primary role of this position is to provide 2nd tier support to
internal and external customers and partners as it relates to the IT
application integration environment and the exchange of EDI. Support would
be required for the following technologies that comprise the DHL LINK
(Americas) architecture: WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Transformation Extender,
Axway Gateway Interchange, BMC Middleware Management Performance and
Availability, Serena Version Manager, and Metastorm Integration Manager.

 Candidates must be able to understand and apply EDI transaction set
concepts and principles, data translation tools, communications protocols,
and other data exchange methods to effectively support business systems
integration solutions. The position requires the ability to understand and
apply IT concepts and standards, and apply internal team methodologies and
procedures to ensure support is provided in a consistent, standard and
repeatable manner.

 Key Accountabilities

 • Incident Management –
 Provide Tier 2 support for EDI integration data flows. Perform
trouble-shooting activities to resolve issues reported by internal and
external customers.

 • Problem Management & Continual Service Improvement –
 Own & manage initiatives to reduce incident levels through Problem
Management and Continual Service Improvement. Identify recurring incidents
and perform root cause analysis (RCA) to address the issues at source.
Recommend system changes and enhancements to address reported issues. Work
with software vendors to address software failures and request
enhancements. Proactively monitor the environment for impending issues and
to identify possible enhancements.

 • General –
 Effective knowledge of business applications (capabilities and
limitations) and business processes including both third party and
in-house developed applications.


 Required Qualifications
 Minimum 2 – 4 years IT experience.
 Minimum 1 – 3 years EDI experience with progressive responsibility as
an EDI Analyst / Developer.
 EDI analysis, design and development experience in the implementation and
support of integration projects.
 Experience in the use of EDI translation software tools.

 Customer / Partner Orientation - able to ensure that customers/partners
know what to expect, and keep customers/partners informed; project
customers/partners long term needs; be resourceful to meet complex needs;
recover from service failures; make customers/partners feel important, and
exceed their expectations; create customer-orientation in work groups.

 Organization & Planning - able to organize or schedule people or tasks;
to develop realistic actions plans while being sensitive to time
constraints and resource availability.

 Business Design – System Process Design – process modeling methods
used to describe business process and the flow of data objects through
those processes.

 Business Design – Logical Data Design - data modeling methods are used
to describe business data and how entities in the system are composed of
other entities.

 Business Design – Logical Interface Design – combination of data and
process modelling techniques that describe the logical flow of data
between two separate information systems.

 EDI Standards and Transaction Sets – the EDI standards, subsets,
versions, data segments / elements, and transaction sets associated with
exchanging business documents electronically.

 EDI Mapping – Proficient in the use of WebSphere Message Broker and
WebSphere Transformation Extender to translate EDI and other file formats
to meet customer, trading partner and internal business partner
requirements.

 Data / File Communications & Security – the methods (VAN, direct
connection), communications protocols (bisynchronous, asynchronous, FTP
over frame relay, FTP over the internet, etc.), security (PGP, secure
shell scripting, etc.) and other third party packages used to exchange
data externally with customers, trading partners and internal systems.
