The new medical system will send out 204 requests for care. The various healthcare carriers will then bid on the delivery of the services and return a 990. After the care is delivered, they will send a 214 confirmation, followed immediately by the 210 Invoice. The new 214 has codes to specify how the patient died. eg. WFBA - Waiting for Bid Acceptance, OOJ - Outside Our Jurisdiction, NCBP - Not Covered By Plan, DIT - Died In Transit, DNA - Doctor Not Available and thousands of others. > Client is healthcare?
