Since UN/Edifact is used primarily in the US for international trade I would
guess you are referring to exporting products to countries that have US trade
sanctions or weapons sanctions.  Usually gun runners leave no paper or
electronic trail so I would rule them out.
Most international money laundering is done through the Swift network or barter
(guns for drugs).
Unless you are a very big defense contractor like ITT or United Technologies
that got caught illegally selling defense technology to China you could end up
with free room and board for a few years if you get caught selling products to
countries like Iran.
I was once involved in the aftermath of an illegal shipment via the wrong mode
of transportation through an automated logistics system that cost a large
multi-national a large fine.
Good luck whatever you are doing.

If you are able join me in donating to the American Red Cross for Hurricane
Sandy relief (www.RedCross.org)

Subject: [EDI-L] <TECH> Edifact disputes?

A discussion list for EDI topicsToday I read a news report about how UN
observers will monitor the oklahoma elections.

In a similar light, specifically how is UN/EDIFACT monitored to see that it is
not being abused to violate laws?

I can provide specific examples or details if requested.

Thank you

Turiyan
